The treatment depends on how much of the tooth is left. A small break often gets repaired with a filling or bonded material that blends in pretty well. If the damage goes deeper then a crown may be the better answer because the remaining tooth needs real support.<\/p>\r\n
Sometimes the cavity reaches the nerve. Then a root canal becomes the right move before the tooth is sealed with a crown. That sounds intimidating. Most people end up saying the waiting beforehand felt worse than the appointment itself.<\/p>\r\n
You’ll see videos showing homemade fixes. Skip them. They look convincing for thirty seconds and then you’re left with a bigger problem hiding underneath. A temporary dental repair kit from a pharmacy is different if you absolutely need to cover a sharp edge until your appointment, but it’s only buying a little time.<\/p>\r\n
