Apple juice is usually easier to tolerate than something strongly acidic. Diluting juice with water is another simple trick if the flavor feels sharp.

Citrus juice is where I’d be more careful. Orange juice and grapefruit juice are acidic, and that acidity can sting fresh gum tissue. Honestly, there’s no prize for forcing yourself through a glass of something that burns.

Keep It Smooth and Not Too Cold

A chilled drink can feel nice, but extremely cold juice isn’t necessary. Room temperature is perfectly fine if sensitivity is bothering you.

• Apple juice diluted with water, especially if your mouth feels tender.

• Citrus juice can sting, so I’d leave the orange juice alone at first.

• Room temperature works perfectly well if cold drinks make the area ache.

Why Acidic Juice Can Be Annoying

Your mouth is already dealing with a healing wound. Acidic drinks add another source of irritation, and that can make the area feel more uncomfortable even though the juice itself isn’t damaging the bone graft.

Because of that, I wouldn’t make acidic juice a daily habit during the first stage of recovery. Water should do most of the work. Juice can simply be something you have occasionally when your mouth feels comfortable.

What About Juice With Pulp?

Pulp isn’t automatically a problem, but bits of fruit can collect around a surgical site, which isn’t ideal when you’re trying to keep the area clean. Smooth juice is easier during early healing.

When Can You Drink Your Usual Juice Again?

As healing progresses, most people can gradually return to their normal drinks. The first few days deserve the most care. After that, your mouth generally becomes less sensitive and eating and drinking starts to feel ordinary again.

Still, don’t rush it just because the juice tastes good. If a drink causes burning, throbbing, or noticeable irritation, skip it for now. Your mouth is giving you a pretty useful answer.

Dental Implant Services in Popular Locations

Dental Implants in Isleworth Dental Implants in Brentford Dental Implants in Ealing Dental Implants in Feltham Dental Implants in Hounslow Dental Implants in Richmond Dental Implants in Southall Dental Implants in Twickenham

Which Juice Is Better After a Bone Graft?
