That’s exactly what you don’t want immediately after All-on-4 surgery. Even if the temporary teeth feel solid, that doesn’t mean the area underneath is ready for normal chewing.

You might also end up chewing harder than you realize because apples are firm and crunchy. That repeated pressure is pointless this early. Give your mouth an easier job.

What About Soft Apple?

This is where things get a little different. If you’re craving apple, peeling it and cooking it until it’s very soft is a much better option than biting into a fresh one. Let it cool first. Then eat small pieces without putting pressure directly over the surgical area.

• Raw apple, especially a whole one, is too crunchy for this stage and demands a strong bite.

• Soft cooked apple is a different story. Once it’s tender enough to mash easily, it puts far less strain on your healing mouth.

• If your dentist gave you a strict soft-food plan, follow that even if your mouth feels surprisingly comfortable.

What Should You Eat Instead?

Your meals should be soft enough that you barely need to chew. Think about foods that can be eaten gently with a spoon or that break apart with very little effort.

You don’t need to make every meal boring, either. Soft scrambled eggs work well. Mashed foods are easy. A smoothie can also be convenient, although don’t use a straw unless your surgeon specifically says it’s okay.

When Can You Eat a Normal Apple?

There isn’t one magic day when everyone suddenly gets permission to bite into an apple. Your surgeon decides when your temporary teeth and healing tissues are ready for more chewing, based on how your implants are progressing.

Dental Implant Services in Popular Locations

Dental Implants in Isleworth Dental Implants in Brentford Dental Implants in Ealing Dental Implants in Feltham Dental Implants in Hounslow Dental Implants in Richmond Dental Implants in Southall Dental Implants in Twickenham

Why Raw Apple Is a Bad Idea Right Now A whole apple needs a proper bite.
