Alcohol can also make your mouth feel dry which is not comfortable when your tooth and gums already feel different.

Drinks to Take It Easy With

• Hot drinks should wait until the numbness is completely gone. Burning your tongue because you couldn’t feel it properly is a way to spend the afternoon.

• Fizzy drinks are not my choice on the day of treatment especially if the tooth feels sensitive.

• Alcohol is better to avoid if you had sedation or medicine and your dentists instructions are the important here.

• cold drinks may feel sharp on a newly crowned tooth. If that happens room-temperature water is better.

When Drinking Feels Uncomfortable

A sensitivity after a crown is normal.
