About Khalil

Khalil is the Clinical Lead at Isleworth Pain & Injury Clinic, our musculoskeletal practice based here at 14 St John's Road alongside the dental team. He is one of a small number of UK clinicians registered as both a chiropractor (General Chiropractic Council) and a physiotherapist (Health & Care Professions Council), which means his patients get hands-on treatment and structured rehabilitation from the same person, in the same room, rather than being passed between two.

One building, two disciplines

Isleworth Pain & Injury Clinic is part of Bridge Dental Practice & Cosmetic Studio. The two practices share a site, a reception team and — where it matters clinically — patient care. Jaw pain, clenching, grinding and headaches sit exactly where dentistry and musculoskeletal medicine overlap, so a patient can be assessed by the dental team and treated by Khalil without leaving the building or repeating their story.

Khalil leads the musculoskeletal side of that partnership and works directly with Dr Raabiha Maan and the dental team on shared cases.

Isleworth Pain & Injury Clinic is based at 14 St Johns Road, Isleworth TW7 6NN — the same building as Bridge Dental. Book online at IPIC →

How Khalil works

Treatment starts with getting pain down — manual therapy, soft tissue work, joint manipulation and mobility work — and then moves into progressive loading rehab to rebuild the strength that let the problem happen in the first place. Khalil uses strength, not pain, as the marker for finishing a course of care, because pain usually settles well before the underlying weakness does.

Exercise programmes are prescribed as video plans patients can follow at home, and patients can message him between appointments. Most plans are set over roughly three months and reviewed at that point.

Background

Khalil grew up in Zimbabwe and Australia before qualifying in chiropractic, and later returned to complete a Master's in physiotherapy in the UK. He has run a private musculoskeletal practice for over a decade. Alongside clinical work he is a guest lecturer at King's College London and a monthly columnist for Dentistry.co.uk.

In his spare time he trains Brazilian jiu jitsu and shares clinical and training content at @khalilchiro on Instagram.
